For the second year in a row, Chab Events helped to conceptualise and set up a pop-up Cheese Bar to promote European Cheese in Singapore in collaboration with Sopexa. The team planned a 2-day street activation at 2 prime outdoor locations to reach as many people as possible.
Day 1 took place at South Beach Avenue during lunch time and attracted a strong crowd, mostly made up of working professionals from nearby offices. Unsuspecting passers-by were thrilled to try bite-sized gourmet treats created by Chef Kelvin Loke from Vineyard@Hort. We also set up a chill-out area for people to relax and enjoy the cheese.
Day 2 kicked off at weekend hotspot, Orchard Cineleisure. This time our pop-up cheese bar was open between 12pm – 6pm to attract weekend shoppers to try the different cheese-based canapés, take cheesy photos at the customised photo booth, and collect their goodie bags.
The canapés being served up at the Cheese Bar on both days were greatly appreciated by veteran cheese lovers and amateurs alike. The dishes offered included shredded emmental cheese sprinkled over dried apple and hazelnut praline, brie stuffed with mushroom duxelles, grapes and mango gel and camembert paired with dried apricots and olives.
It was an incredibly successful street activation overall that pleased turophiles and sparked intrigue in newbies to the flavourful world of cheese.
